Official Contest Rules
Important: No purchase necessary. A mathematical skill-testing question is required. Void where prohibited. Participation constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.
· Open only to persons who are (i) attendees physically present at the Canada Fintech Forum 2025 event (the “Event”) on the draw date/time identified below, and (ii) legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry.
· The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial/territorial, and municipal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
· Primary method: During the Contest Period, scan the designated QR code and complete the online entry form with your name and email address. Limit one (1) entry per person, regardless of method or number of email addresses.
· No purchase necessary; alternative method of entry: During the Contest Period, submit your full name and a valid email address in person at the Paybilt booth or by handing a legible entry card to a Paybilt representative at the Event.
· Entries must be received during the Contest Period. Proof of transmission or submission is not proof of receipt. Automated, programmed, bulk or third‑party entries are prohibited and void. Incomplete, illegible, or fraudulent entries are void.
4. Consent to Marketing; CASL
· If you check the marketing opt‑in box on the entry form, you consent to receive commercial electronic messages from Sponsor. Consent is not a condition of entry or of winning. You may withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails. Sponsor’s business address and contact information will appear in each message in compliance with Canada’s Anti‑Spam Legislation (CASL).
5. Prize; Approximate Retail Value (ARV)
· One (1) prize available: one (1) Smeg espresso machine. ARV: $899 CAD.
6. Odds; Winner Selection; Presence; Skill-Testing Question
· Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
· One (1) potential winner will be selected by random draw conducted by Sponsor at or about 7:00 p.m. local time (ET) on September 23, 2025 at the Event.
· You must be present at the time of the draw to win. If the selected entrant is not present, fails to respond when called, is ineligible, fails to correctly answer the skill‑testing question, or is otherwise disqualified, an alternate entrant will be randomly selected, and the process will repeat until the prize is awarded or Sponsor closes the draw.
· To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided and within a time limit, a mathematical skill‑testing question administered by Sponsor at the Event.
7. Winner Verification; Declaration/Release; Forfeiture
8. Publicity
· By accepting a prize, where lawful, winner consents to the use of their name, likeness, voice, statements, and city/province of residence by Sponsor for advertising and publicity purposes in any media, worldwide, without further notice or compensation.
· The name, and city/province of the confirmed winner may be announced at the Event and/or posted by Sponsor after the draw. To request winner information, write to Sponsor at the address above within 60 days of the end of the Contest Period.
9. Conduct; Disqualification
· Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any person who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, acts in a disruptive manner, or engages in any fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive conduct.
10. Release and Limitation of Liability
· By participating, entrants release Sponsor, its affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with participation, the administration of the Contest, or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize.
· Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate information; (ii) technical failures or errors (including related to QR codes, devices, networks, or platforms); (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, or incomplete entries; or (v) any event beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control (including, without limitation, force majeure, venue restrictions, public health directives) that may cause the Contest to be disrupted, postponed, or cancelled.
11. General Conditions; Cancellation/Modification
· Any attempt to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Privacy
· Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest, communicating with entrants, fulfilling the prize, and, if an entrant provides express consent, for sending marketing communications. Sponsor handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy available at https://paybilt.com/privacy/.

· A French version of these Official Rules is available upon request at the Event and/or at http://go.paybilt.com/cff25-termes. In Quebec, the French and English versions are made available with equal prominence.
16. Third‑Party Platforms; Venue
· The Contest may be promoted using third‑party platforms (e.g., QR code services, social media). Those platforms are not sponsors of and do not endorse or administer the Contest. Participants must comply with Event and venue rules and directions of Event staff.
17. Severability
· If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed and the remainder shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
